Anything that is quick and easy is always calling my name! When it comes to making dinner, I personally like to make meals that won’t take hours in the kitchen. I would rather be doing anything else! 😊 This quick and easy orange chicken recipe is soo delicious and my husband approves! It’s nice and crunchy and the sauce is just too good! I couldn’t believe I was able to make this at home, nonetheless prefer it over takeout!
What You Need To Make Quick and Easy Orange Chicken
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup orange marmalade
- 1 TBSP soy sauce
- 2 egg whites
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 1-2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

What To Do
- Place the BBQ sauce, orange marmalade, and soy sauce into a saucepan and mix together. Turn the heat to low and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Place the egg whites into a bowl and whisk until them until they become foamy. This will take a couple of minutes. Once the egg whites are foamy, whisk the cornstarch into the bowl.
- After that, cut the chicken breasts into bite-size pieces. Next, place the chicken into the bowl with the egg whites and cornstarch. Fold in the chicken so it gets completely covered with the batter.
- Place oil into a pan, I like to cover the entire bottom. But you can use however much you would like. Then place the chicken into the oil. You may need to do this in two batches. Cook the chicken until it is completely cooked through.
- Place the cooked chicken onto a plate with a paper towel to get rid of any excess oil. Then stir the chicken into the orange sauce, making sure each piece of chicken is fully covered.
- Serve!
We served our quick and easy orange chicken with mashed potatoes, because we were feeling it, and it was surprisingly delicious! I normally make this recipe over white rice, and it is also so good! This is a super easy recipe that tastes delicious!
